Emmy and Lily is a brand of cosmetics and supplements for specific niche of dogs with hypoallergenic fur (hair). The breeds we work with are maltipoo, poodle, yorkshire terrier, bichon and similar.
Pre-war situation
Anna has been running own company in sphere of business travel and events for corporate clients since 2007. Before COVID and war she had successful business with 80 people team, included 5 offices in 4 countries, who made a lot of conferences, meetings and events for corporate clients worldwide
Effect of the war
Firstly, COVID and then war effected significantly to Anna’s business. Anna cut 70% of her team and lost 65% of the sales. Most of the local corporate clients stopped their activities as well international clients paused their visits to Ukraine
Resulting challenges
As a result Anna restructured current business (cut costs and found new “alive” clients). Also Anna took a very challenging decision to established a new start up – brand of goods for hyperallergenic dogs 4 months ago (after 18 years in meetings and events industry)
The sought-for solution
Our own R&D team created an innovative formulas for our first line of shampoo, conditioner, mask and paws balsam specially developed for the hypoallergenic dogs. We provided a two stages testing, where more than 100 participants took part – mostly professional groomers, vet dermatologists as well as owners of the dogs. And received a very positive feedback. We already started our on-line promo campaign, found a contract manufacturer in Ukraine and EU and produced a first products to make a pilot sales on the Ukrainian market. Also we are ready to start our international sales and looking forward for investments (for the further R&D, certification and production) as well as new sales channels in EU and USA
Searching for the sales channels in EU (distributors, sales reps, marketplaces and so on), planning to take part in some exhibitions and applying for the investments
Start up was selected and presented on the Why Summit. Also, at the moment we are in the negotiation process with some private European investors (Romania and US, California)
