Nakol art is a brand of silk scarves and their derivatives: raincoats and kimonos, mules and sleep masks by designer Natalia Kolpakova
Pre-war situation
One of the main principles of the brand is sustainability and limited edition. Scarves are available on pre-order, which allows every client to feel like the owner of an exquisite collectible
Since 2017, Natalia has had an inspiring experience of participating in international design festivals and exhibitions such as Paris Design Week, Ambiente Frankfurt, and The Formex in Stockholm. Her works are in private collections in Germany, England, Netherlands, Belgium, and the USA
Effect of the war
Natalia’s resources are limited. She was hosted under the Homes for Ukraine program and started almost from scratch in England
So she is looking for partnerships, retailers, or connections interested in her high fashion items
Resulting challenges
The problem is that this segment is too specific. Motivations, values, and buying decision algorithms differ from more trivial markets
So Natalia needs to understand specific action algorithms and targets at each stage of development:
- development plan
- purchase of equipment
- establishing a priority segment for interaction
- building sales strategies by segments
The sought-for solution
The designer would like to make a personal exhibition to find partners, clients, and collaborations so that they can see her scarves live. She was trained under ReStart Ukraine, the program for entrepreneurs
Mentors from the ReStart Ukraine – UK and Google WeStart programs
