Wooden Dreams is a family run business that produce wooden items such as pendant lights, vases, tableware and home décor
Pre-war situation
We make wooden items since 2017. Our main peculiarity is craftsmanship and handmade products which have no analogues. Also we make crafts according to our customers’ design. Before the war we got interested in making wooden lighting. Such craft is very rare in the world. We wanted to expand that direction of craftsmanship and our production as a whole, but the war made us to put it on pause. All this time till the beginning of war we were active participants of fairs and markets “Vsi Svoi” in Kyiv, “Gesheft” in Odessa, “Slow market” in Kharkiv, “One Day Shop” in Lviv
Effect of the war
Our customers from Ukraine and abroad supported us and inspired to continue our business. In about 2 or 3 months we renewed the production and started to promote our products at the world markets such as Maison and Object in Paris, I am U are in New York , and the Ambiente in Germany. We sell our wooden items at the international internet platform Etsy
Resulting challenges
Now we are looking for the craft stores of home décor and lighting abroad for presenting and selling our goods. We are also searching the designers of interior for creating mutual wooden craftsmanship projects and seeking the new customers in Ukraine and abroad. We continue to realize our dream – to expand the production of wooden lampshades, night lamps, wooden sconces
The sought-for solution
We need the expanding of the production facilities and increasing the number of workers, because we are only two in our business – my husband and me. Also, we want the local customers to know us better, that’s why our dream is to open a store in Cherkasy. We want to make our brand more recognizable in Ukraine as well as in the world market
